Mould Description
These are reusable plastic moulds for making casts of plain Open Books. Ideal for plaster casting - no support needed and the finished casts pop out of the mould easily. Can be used time and time again! Can also be used for concrete casting instead.
There's LOADS you can do with these! Here's a couple of ideas for you:
I used the Golden Wedding ones as weights for helium balloons at my Mum and Dad's anniversary party - they looked great on the tables, and what's more, some of the guests took them home as mementos of the occasion!
Can you think of any more types of parties you could do these for? Christenings, Weddings, 18ths and 21sts..... the list is endless!!
Don't stop there though: You could use these moulds to make wall plaques with all sorts of poems, verses and sayings. Or maybe you could write:
The world's greatest Mum / Dad / Sister / Brother / Grandma / Grandad / Teacher etc... etc... And you could even stick a photo on one side!
So – how can you use your casts as helium balloon weights? Simply add a hook to the back like this...
A: Twist some garden wire into this shape.
B: Sink into the back of your plaster before it sets!
...then tie your balloons to the loop!
If you like this idea then you might also like to try it with these other age moulds, (to find them visit the BIRTHDAY / ANNIVERSARY MOULDS section).....
The Books you make will each measure approx 5" x 3½" (13cm x 9cm) and they will be approx. ¾" (20mm) deep.
