Here are some common problems people come up against whilst soap making. If you can think of any more handy hints feel free to get in touch.
WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO GET THE SOAPS OUT OF THE MOULDS?
If you find that the soaps you've made won't come out of the moulds easily then this could be because of a couple of reasons:
a. Make sure you don't heat up your melt and pour soap too much. Your soap base should be melted, but NOT boiling. It's best to pour at as low a temperature as possible.
b. It might be that the soap hasn't had enough time to set completely.
One trick I use is to put the mould with the setting soap into the fridge for a few minutes. This makes the soaps contract when they're cold that they pop out of the mould easily.
